Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Crest Legal APC ("the firm," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit www.crestlegalapc.com, submit a form or use the chat feature on this website, or agree to receive text messages from the firm. It applies to this website and to text messages sent by the firm. It does not replace any engagement agreement between the firm and a client.
Text messaging (SMS): SMS consent is not shared with third parties. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or text-messaging opt-in data and consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. See Text messaging (SMS) below.
1. What personal information we collect
Information you give us
When you fill out a case-review or contact form, use the chat feature, call, email, or text the firm, you may give us:
- Contact information: first and last name, phone number, and email address
- Location information: the California city where you live or where an incident occurred
- Information about your matter: the type and date of the incident, whether you were injured, whether you have received medical treatment, whether an insurance company has contacted you, and any description of what happened that you choose to provide
- Your consent choices, including whether you agreed to be contacted by phone, text message, or email
Please share only what is needed for an initial review. Do not send confidential or time-sensitive information through this website until an attorney-client relationship has been established.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics. This website uses Google Analytics, which uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, time spent on the site, and the website that referred you. We use this information in aggregate to understand how the site is used and to improve it.
- Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records technical information about requests to the site, such as IP address, browser type, and the date and time of the request, for security and operational purposes.
2. How we use personal information
- To respond to your inquiry and evaluate whether the firm can help with your matter
- To contact you by phone, text message, or email about your inquiry, including scheduling a consultation and following up on information you provided
- To run conflict-of-interest checks, as required by the rules governing California attorneys
- To communicate with you about your matter if you become a client
- To operate, secure, and improve this website
- To comply with applicable law, court orders, and the firm's professional and ethical obligations
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
3. Confidentiality of information about your matter
Information you share with the firm while seeking legal representation is treated as confidential prospective-client information under the California Rules of Professional Conduct, even if the firm does not ultimately represent you. Contacting the firm or submitting information through this website does not by itself create an attorney-client relationship. An attorney-client relationship is formed only upon execution of a written fee agreement signed by both the client and the firm.
4. Who we share personal information with
We share personal information only as described below:
- Service providers that help us operate the website and communicate with you, and that may use the information only to provide services to the firm. These include our website host (GoDaddy), our email-delivery provider for website forms (Resend), our email provider (Microsoft 365), our text-messaging provider, and our analytics provider (Google Analytics).
- Other attorneys, if your matter is associated with or co-counseled by another attorney. This happens only with your written consent.
- Legal and safety requirements, when we believe disclosure is required by law, subpoena, or court order, or is permitted by the firm's professional obligations.
- With your consent or at your direction, such as when you ask us to send information to an insurer, medical provider, or another person.
5. Text messaging (SMS)
If you check the optional text-message consent box on our case-review form, or otherwise agree to receive text messages from the firm, we will use your mobile number to send text messages about your inquiry or matter, as described in our SMS Terms.
- SMS consent is not shared with third parties.
- No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from all of the sharing categories described in Section 4 and will not be shared with any third parties. The only exception is the text-messaging provider that delivers messages on the firm's behalf, which may use your number only to send and receive the firm's messages.
- Agreeing to receive text messages is not a condition of retaining the firm.
- You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help, or call (213) 900-4667. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
6. Cookies, analytics, and Do Not Track
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your information by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. The website will still work if cookies are blocked. Some browsers send "Do Not Track" signals; because there is no common standard for how to respond to them, this website does not currently change its behavior when it receives one.
7. How long we keep information
This website does not store form or chat submissions on its web server. Submissions are delivered to the firm by email. Our email-delivery provider retains a copy of each delivered message for a limited period (currently up to 30 days). The firm keeps inquiry information in its records for as long as needed to respond to you, to run conflict checks, and to meet its legal and professional record-keeping obligations.
8. How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections to this website. No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Ordinary email and text messages are not encrypted end to end; please keep that in mind when deciding what to send.
9. Your choices and California privacy rights
- You may ask to review, correct, or delete personal information you have submitted to the firm by contacting us using the information below. We will respond as required by applicable law, but we may need to keep certain information to meet our legal and professional obligations, such as conflict-of-interest records.
- You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, and out of email by asking us to stop.
- California Civil Code Section 1798.83 ("Shine the Light") lets California residents ask whether a business has shared their personal information with third parties for those third parties' direct-marketing purposes. We do not share personal information for that purpose.
10. Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If a minor has been injured, a parent or legal guardian should contact the firm on the minor's behalf.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date above. Material changes will apply only to information collected after the change is posted.
